Germany 2000
Hot Aire's inaugural tour took us to the Moselle Valley
Concerts were given in Bad Bertrich, Zell, Bernkastel-Kues and Luxembourg.
Luxembourg Bandstand Programme
Luxembourg was particularly challenging. As coaches cannot enter the city, all the gear, including full drum kit and a marimba, had to be carried half a mile from the drop-off point!
Our free day was spent sightseeing in the Rhine valley.
We started in Koblenz, where the Rhine and the Moselle meet, then took a boat to Boppard, where our trusty driver, Eddie, was waiting for us. Finally to Rüdesheim, where the Musical Instrument Museum was an obvious attraction to us.
Tour Traditions:
We had pick-ups at Leicester Forest and Dartmouth Services going out
Two of our number stayed in Germany, to meet up with their choir tour the next day!
